Martin & Maurizio possess a unique way of teaching their students great techniques in a relaxed, empowering, and engaging way.  We are so lucky to have them with us sharing their expertise and positive energy twice a year.  The Argentine Tango Society of Greater Washington is proud to welcome them into our organization.

Sol Orozco

During her 20 years of experience she has developed a style of teaching that focuses on body awareness and a clear recognition of the musical structures tango.  She is a master at diagnosing and communicating to her students what they need to progress in their tango journey.   Sol is a master at  breaking down this beautiful and complex dance and articulating  it to her students in a new and fresh way. 

Marcelo El Chino Gutierrez

Marcelo Gutierrez first visited Washington DC area in 2018 and has continued to return to the DC area several times each year.  He is an accomplished dancer and artist dedicated to promoting Argentine tango around the world.  He is recognized for his very personal, technically precise, and creative teaching methods.  He is well known in dance circles as a pioneer in teaching women to lead in tango. 

Juan Cantone and Virginia Cutilllo

Juan Cantone has been teaching in the DC community since 2007.  He is the consummate artist and we are grateful for his many years of work that he has shared with the DC community.  This year we are excited to welcome Virginia Cutillo, Juan’s new dance partner who will teach here in 2024 for the first time. They describe themselves as passionate artists who have chosen to share their philosophy of life through tango.   Their teaching is powerful, thoughtful, and always has a strong focus on musicality.
